I’m Robert Poole and I’ve been practicing law for over 20 years. I attended Eastern Kentucky University where I had a double major in philosophy and political science. I was always interested in the role of the individual in society and the idea of justice. So, I was naturally attracted to law school. I attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. While in law school I worked as a law clerk for a law firm that concentrated on Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury. I graduated from law school in 1995 near the top of my class.
During the Summer of 1995 I studied for the Bar Exam and watched the OJ Simpson Trial. That trial inspired me to become a trial lawyer and I knew I wanted open my own law office. I received my license to practice law in OH on November 13, 1995. I had cards and letterhead printed and I started practicing law the next day. I signed up with the Cincinnati Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service and I hit the ground running. My office was originally a cell phone and a P.O. Box (and at that time cell phones were a bit bulky). Within three months
my practice was up and running and I decided to rent a real office. My first office was in Downtown Cinci. near the courthouse. In February of 1996 I got my license to practice law in KY and I opened a second office. Since then I have had two offices covering the Tri-State Area. We have expanded to include The entire Commonwealth of KY including a Lexington and Louisville office.
Over the months and years my practice grew. My wife Jenny was my first staff member and my greatest asset. We expanded our offices added more staff and associate attorneys. We have grown into an established and respected law firm.
I originally chose to limit my practice to four main areas, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death and Criminal Defense. We have generally stayed within these areas. However, the firm also handles other general practice areas. Over the last 20 years we have recovered millions of dollars in settlements for our clients. We have also represented thousands of clients for serious felonies and misdemeanors.
I am proud to be a lawyer and I love my job. Lawyers are often thought of in a negative light. But we all need lawyers to solve problems. We need people who can protect individual liberties and the flow of good ideas and help people make practical decisions about their legal situations. I still have that strong desire to seek out justice for the individual in society. I fight the insurance companies and huge corporations. We have the resources and experience that are needed for the good fight. I also fight for the rights of the accused. We all need lawyers that are passionate about representing their clients. I’ve done my best to fulfill this role for 20 years.
